CURRICULUM FEATURES
DIGITAL
Since 2012, STEMscopes has enriched the lives of students and teachers across the country. And it’s no wonder—our curriculum was written by practicing teachers, refined by customer feedback, pilot tested in live classrooms, and adapted to the findings of new research. We are committed to always delivering flexible, differentiated, 5E, student-centered instructional content through our digital platform.
We’re all about making life easier for teachers. Our digital platform allows you to assign work directly to student accounts, push content to Google Classroom, print materials on demand, and use our lessons in a whole-group setting or blended learning reality. We’ve also consolidated everything you need in one place so you won’t have to hunt for it. Find coherent, 5E-based lessons that align with standards and seamlessly flow from one activity to the next.
PRINT AND KIT
Print and hands-on kits bring digital learning and real-world instruction together. These supplemental resources establish a concrete connection between school and home. They are especially great for students who don’t have computer access at home, helping teachers make education more equitable. And they support concrete-to-abstract learning alongside literacy instruction.
Here’s how kits are organized: We divide them into four beautifully designed packages: -manipulatives, foundations (hands-on lessons), fluency builders (workstation differentiation activities), and vocabulary cards. Schools can always access a trove of digital materials to build their own kits, but STEMscopes Math kits streamline lesson preparation with grab-and-go packaging, saving you time and keeping you from going crazy on your school’s printer.
Print comes in two varieties: the Student Workbook (lesson companion, journal, and formative assessments) and the Assessment Workbook (standards-based assessments with an objective mastery tracking card for each objective). While all these components are available digitally and can be printed on demand or assigned to student accounts, print materials make life easier on parents by helping them engage their children at home and track their journey as math students.

DESIGN AND TRAINING
Constructivist learning is the heartbeat of STEMscopes Math. Centered on the 5E+IA lesson model and a CRA approach, and informed by the feedback of dozens of master teacher-writers, STEMscopes Math takes a fresh approach to math instruction. No more worksheets, no more rote memorization, and no more lectures about how “this is the (only) way to solve the problem.” STEMscopes Math fosters creativity, collaborative learning processes, and authentic instruction, where the students take charge of their own learning, with teacher facilitation and guidance.
Adopting a new curriculum can be intimidating, but you can rest easy–our initial training sessions address all your questions and concerns. We show teachers how to navigate STEMscopes as they learn the underlying principles–intentional discourse, productive struggle, and real-world connections–used to engage students, encourage perseverance, and make math meaningful. Still uneasy? An extensive Help section within STEMscopes Math offers on-demand support and embedded facilitation aids, helping both new and veteran teachers take their lessons to the next level.
ASSESSMENT AND DATA
We know you want to focus on teaching, not grading or recording grades. It’s the reason STEMscopes math comes with software that grades, provides feedback, and uploads grades onto your school or district’s gradebook. And our cybersecurity ensures that your students’ data is well protected.
STEMscopes Math comes with a variety of formative and summative assessments. You’ll probably develop your own favorites, but here’s a list of our top three assessments: the standards-based test for each standard, Decide and Defend argumentation-based assessments to push thinking and encourage discourse, and Quantile Benchmarks to monitor student growth.
ACCESS STEMSCOPES MATH
Let me tell you, I am so glad I made the decision to purchase this product. It has been a life-saver. I am wanting to send out the end-of-year benchmark to my students, but it is not letting me assign it. I contacted the help desk and they are looking into it. Other than that I am extremely pleased.
