    We engage students in interactive, hands-on, relevant activities that build a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Through intentional discourse, students strengthen their mathematical reasoning, use of mathematical vocabulary and concepts, and awareness of different perspectives on problem-solving.

    To empower students to think like mathematicians and to answer that familiar question, “Why do I have to learn math?!”, our program connects math skills with real-world scenarios and issues.   3. What differentiation resources and supports do you offer students with diverse needs?

    We believe that differentiation doesn’t have to be hard! We help all students achieve their learning goals with unique activities designed to meet them where they are—at the approaching, meets, and masters levels of content knowledge and skills. These activities are ideal for small-group workstations or individual practice. An advantage of our curriculum is that teachers can access grade levels below and above to help vary instruction as needed. You’ll find a list of pathways in each scope in our scaffolded instruction guide.

    Another key feature in our curriculum is that both intervention and extension (acceleration) activities are provided. The teacher can easily individualize their plans using the Scaffolded Instruction Guide located in each scope to guide instruction based on student data.

  4. What multilingual resources and supports do you offer students?

    Our program integrates research-based strategies and tools to support emergent bilingual learners at various proficiency levels with an additive approach rooted in what students can do. Our program has various opportunities for emergent bilingual students to engage in authentic learning through multimodal communication, including scaffolds for students in the preproduction phase of their language acquisition journey.

    Each student’s journey to acquiring a new language is unique. A common misconception is that language acquisition is linear. However, the process is continuous and open-ended, and it differs across language domains (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), depending on factors such as the context or situation with which the learner is engaging and how familiar the student is with the topic. The Proficiency Levels by Domain, found in the Teacher Toolbox, provides an overview of how students are applying language across different domains, as well as methods and tools that can be applied to provide support. The skills and strategies provided are meant to build on each other as students progress through the levels.

While we strive to maintain your privacy and secure your information, it is essential to note that the security of information transmitted over personal Internet connections cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, any information you disclose in this manner is done so at your own risk.
